The Brandon James Malstrom Scholarship

The Brandon James Malstrom Scholarship was established after his death by friends and family of Brandon to provide scholarship assistance for higher education. Scholarships are available only to the graduating class at Dulaney High School, where Brandon Malstrom was a graduate. Graduating seniors with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 who plan on enrolling in an accredited college and can demonstrate leadership, sportsmanship and a desire to achieve academic success as indicated by high participation in school and community activities may apply for this scholarship.

Recipients of the scholarship will be awarded $1,500 per semester.

Students are asked to submit an essay describing an event in their high school years that contributed significantly to their personal growth. Additionally, they must supplement their application with two letters of recommendation and a copy of an official transcript including any standardized test scores such as ACT or SAT.

After a full consideration of each applicant, the board will decide on a student who has a firm grasp of their academics and strongly replicates Brandon's best qualities.
